Another upset. My favourite team in Euro 2008 is out of the competition. Dmitri Torbinski and Andrei Arshavin struck in the last eight minutes of extra time to take Russia into the semi-finals.
Netherlands is out and I couldn’t believe this result.

Turkey continues with their advance into their first semi-final. But it was Croatia who starts to celebrate when they scored in 29th minutes in extra time. Maybe it was too early for them to celebrate. Turkey is putting all attack on Croatia and it did pay off by scoring the equaliser in the injury time on the extra time period.
I could not believe with my own eyes that Turkey could come back with an equaliser. Well, like what I like to say “The ball is round and anything could be possible”.
Germany progressed to the semi-finals for the first time since 1996 as goals from Bastian Schweinsteiger, Miroslav Klose and Michael Ballack secured a 3-2 victory over Portugal.
First half, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Miroslav Klose scored each in 22nd minutes and 26th minutes to give Germany the lead. Nuno Gomes scored for Portugal in the 40th minutes to close up the gap.
Ardan Turan’s deflected goal deep in injury time gave Turkey a win that revived their Euro 2008 hopes. It was Switzerland who open the goal scoring.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored one goal and set up two more as Portugal qualified for the quarter-finals. This has secure Portugal place in quarter-finals.
Deco had given Portugal an eighth-minute lead after good work from Cristiano Ronald. Libor Sionko scored for Czech Republic 9 minutes later. Cristiano Ronaldo turned on the style in the second half, providing a supreme finish from the edge of the area in the 63rd minute before supplying Ricardo Quaresma in the injury time.
