On 7th February 2008, another Jay Chou’s movie will be screening on local cinemas. The film seems to be going under the title of Kung Fu Dunk (功夫灌篮) in Asia, and Slam Dunk for International release.

With a production budget of US$10 million, the movie is the biggest production in Taiwan’s history.

During the pre-production period, the lead actress role has been previously offered to stars such as Korean singer, BoA. But due to her busy schedule she passed the roll to Korean actress, Yoon Eun Hye. Due to schedule conflicts, the producers settled on casting Hong Kong singer and actress Charlene Choi. Houston Rockets center Yao Ming but due to injury he won’t be able to make his debut on this movie.
