European and English Premier League football giant, Chelsea recorded a third win in their final leg of the Asian Tour, beating Malaysia Selection 2-0 at the Shah Alam Stadium.

Check out the highlights.

Despite playing against a formidable side, the Malaysians managed to create a golden opportunity in the 5th minute when midfielder Mohd Amirulhadi Zainal slotted a low-drive shot, beating Chelsea’s keeper Petr Cech but it was off target.

In the 30th minute, Nicolas Anelka picked up a Frank Lampard’s through ball and delivered a low-drive shot, beating Malaysia’s goalkeeper Mohd Elmi Eliza Elias.

In the 52nd minute, Cole scored Chelsea’s second goal when he picked up a pass from a set-piece initiated by Frank Lampard and Florent Malouda.

Despite the two-goal deficit, the Malaysian managed to create several chances but could not penetrate the solid Chelsea defence.

In the 61st minute, forward Mohd Zaquan Adha Abdul Razak shook off his marker and was in a one-to-one situation with Petr Cech, but no goal came from the effort.

Malaysia Selection team did make us feel proud. This is so far the best game I ever see the Malaysia team to play so well in recent years.

From this match, I can see the hope for Malaysian football. Yes, there is a hope now. I hope they all will keep it up and improve more. We need to see the fighting spirit and stamina of each players to be improving.

I wish I could be there to watch the live in the stadium myself but unfortunately I can’t make it.

The last time, Malaysia playing against the English giant was many years back when Manchester United was here for their Asia Tour. That time, Malaysia team wasn’t playing so well. Guys, keep it going!

Malaysia Boleh!

[...] Guys, we can’t really compare their football facilities with us. I agree that our field quality is very poor but if you take poor field quality as an excuse of you can’t win with huge scoring result if definitely unprofessional. Try go middle east and play, they field quality also not much different with us and some even poorer. I can see the hope of Malaysian football now on the recently match against Chelsea. Malaysia wasn’t playing so well few years back against Manchester United. I was there to witness the match between Manchester United against Malaysia. I have watch the broadcast and highlights of the match between Chelsea and Malaysia, definitely Malaysian was playing very well. We did manage to get few chances to score but our finishing was very poor. One thing for sure is we did improve. Let the team build up and preparing for the next World Cup qualifying and next Olympic game. Don’t forget we was one of the great football nation back in the old days. Korea, China, Japan and other great Asian team was afraid of us in the old day. Let’s us work together and bring back the glories of the old days. Chelsea beat Malaysia Selection [...]
