By the time I reach Pulau Langkawi, it was almost 12.00 noon. It was slow because of the strong wave. Finally, I step foot on Pulau Langkawi. At the same time, I buying the ticket for going to Pulau Payar. They will also arrange a bus to fetch me up tomorrow morning in my hotel. Ticket price for going to Pulau Payar was RM150 and RM200. I take the RM150 package. Anyone who interested in scuba diving and add additional RM100 for it.

I take a walk around to take some snapshots. Near the port (harbour) there are few tourist attractions such as Eagle Square and Legenda Park.

Eagle Square is Pulau Langkawi’s most prominent landmark for visitors arriving by sea.

This is the main entrance into Lagenda Park. It was an attractive park with beautiful gardens of vivid local blooms, plants and fruit trees. It has been designed and landscaped with exhibits detailing the myths and legends of the island. Too bad it was under renovation.

This is the Aseania Hotel that recommended by my best friend, Crispin. It was also recommend by few local people.

I was so hungry. After check-in the hotel, I walk down to Underwater World seeking for food. Underwater World is not my destination to visit yet. I order spaghetti with coke as my lunch. It was not the best spaghetti but it was enough to fill my stomach for now.

I want to go and visit Mount Machinchang, taking cable car to the top. Highest point in Pulau Langkawi.

By time I reach the bottom of Mount Machichang, it start to rain heavily and with lightning. The cable car station was surrounded by the famous Oriental Village. Because of the rain and lightning, the cable car was stop and I have no choice but to hang out around Oriental Village to buy some souvenir.

The cable car only reopened back around 4pm. I was the first one to buy the ticket and first one to aboard the cable car. For Malaysian who show your IC during the purchase of the ticket you can only RM15 per ticket. For none Malaysian you will need to pay RM25 per ticket. Some tour guide try to cut the queue to make the purchase of the ticket but the person on duty told him to line up in the queue to purchase. He think he is a tour guide and he can get special treatment. Shame of him!

Here some nice views from the top. There is two viewing tower each at 705m and 710m above the sea level. I don’t really feel cold up there.
