One day, you might face this error message BOOTMGR is missing. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart if you’re using Windows Vista. Don’t panic when you saw this error message.

Here is how you can repair this error message:

  • Restart your computer.
  • Press F12 when you get the BIOS screen up.
  • Select on any option for CD-ROM or DVD RW drive and press Enter.
  • If you see the message Press any key to continue…, please press on Spacebar or Enter.
  • Wait until it loaded into the Windows Vista setup screen.
  • Click on Next on the first Windows Vista setup screen.
  • Click on Repair Your Computer.
  • Click on Startup Repair.
  • Once the repair complete, click on Finish and restart the system.

That’s all you need to do and you should be able to boot into Windows without any further errors.
