• Click on Start.
• Click on Control Panel.
• Click on Classic View on the left hand side (if only your Control Panel wasn’t in Classic View).
• Double click on Power Options.
• Click on the Change plan settings.
• Click on Change advanced power settings.
• Double click on Power buttons and lid.
• Double click on Start menu power button.
• Click on Settings, change it from Sleep to Shut down.

• Click on Apply and click on OK.

You’re done. Now you got back your shutdown button just like in Windows XP.
