- Click on Start.
- Click on Control Panel.
- Click on Classic View on the left hand side (if only your Control Panel wasn’t in Classic View).
- Double click on Power Options.
- Click on the Change plan settings.
- Click on Change advanced power settings.
- Double click on Power buttons and lid.
- Double click on Start menu power button.
- Click on Settings, change it from Sleep to Shut down.
